In the second match of Sunday’s double-header in IPL 2024, it is Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals taking on defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. While the Vizag ground serves as the second home for the Capitals, it was Pant who proved to be successful at the toss.
“We’ll bat first. Wicket looks good, we want to use it as a batting track, put runs on the board. (On playing home games in Vizag) I think it makes a lot of difference, but we practiced here,” Rishabh Pant said at the toss. Furthermore, Pant named two changes to their squad with Kuldeep Yadav and Ricky Bhui, both missing out.
However, Bhui was replaced by Ishant Sharma in the XI, Kuldeep Yadav, who has been a key pick for the DC missed owing to injury. At the toss, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter revealed that “Kuldeep had a niggle”.
