On Wednesday, April 9, the IPL 2022 winners, Gujarat Titans (GT) are hosting the inaugural title winners, Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in match number 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. However, both are coming on the back of a win in this match and will aim to continue their winning streak in the tournament going forward.

At the two skippers took the field for the toss, it was Sanju Samson, the RR skipper who came out on top. After the toss going his way, the RR skipper decided to field first, thus inviting the hosts to put the score first on the board. “We would like to bowl here first because of the conditions. There is going to be dew here. Each and every game in the IPL is important, we are grateful of the last two games and take the momentum forward. It is great to be back,” Samson said.

Wanindu Hasaranga misses out due to personal reasons; Fazalhaq Farooqi comes in

When asked of the team combination, RR skipper confirmed a change in the XI as he informed that the Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga misses out due to personal reasons. “Hasaranga misses out due to personal reasons Farooqi comes in,” Samson said.

On the other hand, GT are playing with their same team like the one in their previous game, which saw them win against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
