MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings are two names that often come in the same breath. It is very hard to imagine Dhoni in any other camp even though the reality is that he has played for the Rising Pune Supergiants for a couple of years when Chennai were banned. Such is Dhoni's craze that when he decided to step down as the leader ahead of this season, fans were stunned.

It is now being told that even some of the players including their new recruit Devon Conway wanted Dhoni to continue being the captain for at least one more year so that he can play under the legendary skipper. In a video shared by CSK on their social media, Conway says that he asked MSD to continue leading the team so that he can get to experience his leadership.

However, Dhoni responded by saying that he will always be around. The New Zealand star added that he was sitting for lunch in between MS Dhoni and new CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja and it was a great experience.

Check out what Conway had to say here:

Conway failed to leave a mark with the bat in the first match of IPL 2022 as he departed after scoring just 3. The southpaw would want to recover from that failure quickly and help Chennai off to a great start in coming matches which was one of the main reasons they managed to lift the trophy last year.

CSK will be up against Lucknow Super Giants next on March 31.
