India are set to take on the hosts England in the second Test of a five-match series at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 2 to 6. After a tough five-wicket defeat in the first Test in Leeds, India will be looking to make a comeback in the second Test and level the series by 1-1. However, the main concern for the Indian fans is whether their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah will play in the second Test of the series.

Ahead of the series, the management decided that Bumrah will play only three out of the five Test matches in the series to manage his workload. Now, as Bumrah was a part of the playing XI in the first, the fans are concerned whether he will play in the second Test or not. However, Indian skipper Shubman Gill gave a sigh of relief to the fans as he said that the fast bowler is available for the second Test.

Bumrah is surely available: Shubman Gill

Ahead of the second Test match of the series, Shubman Gill is available for selection in the playing XI for the second Test against England in Birmingham. However, the management will take decision on his workload management and will look into the final decision in the nets.

“Bumrah is surely available. We have to look into this workload management. We have to look into the final combination today at the nets," Gill was quoted as saying by News18.

“We knew prior to the series that we would get Jasprit for three games, but we had that sorted beforehand. Yes, obviously we would miss him, but we have our plans sorted," Indian skipper further added.

Jasprit Bumrah ended up taking five wickets in the first innings of the Test in Leeds but went wicketless in the second innings as India failed to defend a target of 371 runs on day five.
