Ever since the news arrived that French superstar Kylian Mbappe has decided not to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer. However, speculations on Mbappe's arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu have put Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes at risk of losing his place in the starting XI.

Reportedly, the French forward has informed the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy that he will leave the club at the end of the season, however, no confirmation has been given by Mbappe or the involved clubs.

While many fans and experts raised questions about Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid if Mbappe joins the Spanish giants next season, reports from Spanish media indicated that the Brazilian forward will stay at the club. According to the Spanish radio sports program, El Larguero, Rodrygo will not leave Real Madrid if Mbappe joins the 14-time UCL champions.

The reports also suggested that the 23-year-old Brazilian has garnered interest from Premier League and Ligue 1 giants including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and PSG. However, the Real Madrid forward, who was presented with the No.11 jersey of Marco Asensio last year in December, has already rejected the interest from these clubs. The radio station further claimed that Rodrygo believes that Real Madrid "will be the best football project in the world" on Mbappe's arrival.

Rodrygo is currently witnessing the best goal-scoring season in his professional career as he has racked up 10 goals for Real Madrid. In star forward Vinicius' absence against Athletic Club on Monday due to a suspension, Rodrygo scored a brace to help Los Blancos win the game 2-0 and manage an 8-point lead from the second-placed Barcelona in La Liga 2023-24 standings.
