On Sunday, July 13, top-ranked tennis player, Jannik Sinner avenged his Roland Garros 2025 loss to deny the World No. 2, Carlos Alcaraz to complete a hat-trick of wins at Wimbledon 2025. Coming into the tournament after going down against the Spaniard in the Roland Garros finale, Sinner stood firm and handed Alcaraz a defeat in a four-set thriller at the Centre Court of the All England Club.

The grass court finale, which lasted for three hours and four minutes to be precise, saw Sinner go down in the opening set by a 4-6 margin. However, the Italian held his nerves and claimed the next three sets to get his first Wimbledon win and complete a quartet of Grand Slam victories, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

With a win, Sinner not only claimed his maiden Wimbledon title after winning his previous three Grand Slams at the Australian Open and US Open, he also became the first player from Italy to win the grass court championship. With a historic win, the Italian World No. 1 will also take home a hefty sum of USD 4,124, 760.

As per CBS Sports, the prize money attached with this year’s tournament witnessed an 8% hike compared to last year sum. “The prize money for The Championships 2025 is a record £53,500,000 with the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Singles Champions each receiving £3,000,000,” statement on the official website reads. Seeing this, Sinner, who won the prestigious title, will take home a sum of over INR 34 Crore.
