The action-packed auction for the Women’s Premier League took place on Monday, February 13 in Mumbai. Before on-field action, five franchises engaged in an intense bidding war to form a quality
squad for the inaugural edition.

IPL’s most successful franchise, the Mumbai Indians created a strong squad for the inaugural edition. The franchise brought some big names in the form of Harmanpreet Kaur, Nat Sciver, Heather Graham and More.
Just like all the other franchises, Mumbai also entered the auction
with Rs. 12 crores in their purse. The Mumbai Indians franchise has roped
in some quality staff for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League
as Charlotte Edwards has been appointed as Head Coach, while Jhulan Goswami,
Devieka Palshikaar, Trupti Chandgadkar Bhattacharya as bowling coach, batting
coach, and manager, respectively.
