Harmanpreet Kaur-led India Women have been a dominating force to reckon with in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022. The Women in Blue finished at the top of the points table in the league stage and went past Thailand with a dominating 74 runs win in the first semifinal on Thursday.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka Women have also showcased some great performance on the field in the going Asia Cup. They defeated Pakistan Women by 1 run in the second semifinal to seal the finals berth alongside India on Thursday. The two sides will now get ready for the final clash of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022, scheduled to take place on 15 October 2022 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, in Sylhet.
Talking about their performances in the tournament, the Women in Blue won three back-to-back games before falling at the hands of Pakistan. However, they returned to winning ways to clinch the semifinal berth. They then beat Thailand to seal finals berth for yet another time. While Sri Lanka started their campaign with a loss against India and then won four consecutive games to finish in the semifinals and later finish in the finals, defeating Pakistan.
