The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is doing every bit to make the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League a massive hit among cricket fans. While big Bollywood stars are set to perform in the grand opening ceremony of WPL 2023, BCCI has taken a brilliant initiative to attract a crowd in the stadium for WPL matches. The ticket bookings for the matches have been started on BookMyShow and what comes as great news, is that entry for women in the stadium has been made free.

Certain stands in the stadium have been reserved only for women with free entry. Meanwhile, BCCI is making sure that the matches of WPL 2023 will be played in front of a packed stadium and has kept tickets price at INR 100 and INR 400.

Notably, India vs Australia series in December saw a massive crowd at Wankhede Stadium. Close to 35000 spectators watched the T20I series, which was the highest for women’s games in India. The WPL matches will be played in Brabourne Stadium, Wankhede, and Dr. DY Patil and BCCI is eager to witness the same response again.

The inaugural edition of the WPL will start on March 4 at DY Patil Stadium with the opening match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants.
