The 18th edition of the World Athletics Championships is set to start in Eugene, Oregon( USA) from July 15 until July 24. This marks the first occasion the event will be hosted by the United States and a massive pool of athletes will be seen competing across 49 events. Indian athletes would want to build on the increased success at the Tokyo Olympics.

India’s biggest hope in this event is Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra who would want to be the second Indian after former long jumper Anju Bobby George to win a medal at the event.
