The claims of sexual harassment against WFI President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh have some of India's finest wrestlers protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.  The protesting wrestlers held a candle march against the WFI President at the Jantar Mantar on May 7 as an act of solidarity. The country’s best wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat and Bajrang Punia are a part of this protest.

The wrestlers, who have been occupying Jantar Mantar since April 23 as part of a protest, have declared that they won't leave till Singh is imprisoned. The Chief has been accused of sexual assault seven times. Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik told the media that the wrestling committee has unanimously chosen to wait until May 21 for the authorities to comply with their requests. “We are unsure of the reason why Delhi Police are prolonging the investigation process. They have not yet taken any testimony pursuant to IPC Section 164,” she said.

Vinesh Phogat also issued a statement addressing the media on Sunday. “Nothing is being hijacked. We will take a big call if nothing happens by 21st May,” Vinesh told the media.

Meanwhile the accused Brij Bhushan Singh has completely denied the allegations and said that this is all a ploy by the opposition political party to tarnish his image. The WFI Chief has also issued a big statement in a video message recently. “I will hang myself if one allegation is proven on me”, the WFI Chief said.
