WTA Finals 2023: Schedule, Draw, Players, Venue, Format and more

The GNP Seguros WTA Finals Cancun is the professional women’s championship tournament which also happens to be Hologic WTA Tour's season-ending championships. The 2023 edition is going to be the 47th edition of the double's competition and 52nd edition of the singles’ edition. The tournament is set to take place in Cancún, Mexico between 29 October and 5 November 2023. 

The draw for 2023 is out, and as per that, two top seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek will lead the Bacalar and Chetumal groups, respectively. The Bacalar group will have Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula and Maria Sakkari along with Sabalenka. On the other hand, the Chetumal group will feature the likes of Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur and Marketa Vondrousova. 

The Bacalar group will see a rematch of the season’s pivotal finalists with Sabalenka and Rybakina placed together. The Chetumal group, on the flip side features three season’s major champions featuring French Open champion Swiatek, US Open champion Gauff and Wimbledon champion Vondrousova.

The semifinals will have the top two finishers from each group clashing against each other. The top finisher from each group will face the number 2 finisher from the other group. Speaking of the semifinals and finals, these fixtures will be played in a standard knockout format.
