All-rounder Stuart Binny carried the India Legends to a thumping victory, as he scored an unbeaten 82 off 42 balls to take the total to a mammoth 217/4. Along with Binny, Yusuf Pathan was the perfect partner as he smashed 35 in 15 balls and their partnership generated 88 runs in just 40 balls.

Binny came in to bat when Naman Ojha was dismissed by Johan van der Wath and started off strong. The Karnataka player was batting with Suresh Raina (33 in 22). Wicket-keeper Naman Ojha gave the India Legends a great start with captain Sachin Tendulkar as they scored 46 runs in 5.2 overs.

After the match, Binny talked about how he got a chance to play his natural game of positive batting and scoring runs. He said, “My attitude has always been the same even when I played in the IPL or played for India, I like to bat positively, it's just that today I had many overs to bat. Normally I go only after 14 overs, so today I was able to build the innings and take a few singles and also take some time to get set in today’s game.”

The former India all-rounder also spoke on the team’s plan as they first wanted to reach the score of around 160-170 and proceed from there. He further talked about how all batters were focusing on rotating the strike while hitting one boundary every over.

“The plan was very simple, Sachin sir said that don’t try to take the game too far. Try to look at 160-170. Once we get there, we can decide again, how much we wanted. So our gameplan was very simple as it was to rotate the strike and hit one boundary every over and that’s what took the partnership away”, revealed the 38-year-old.

Stuart Binny also expressed excitement about playing for India once again and playing in front of the crowd. He said, “Yes, it is very prestigious to play for India again. I was very proud when I got the chance to play for India and I am very happy I can meet my teammates again in the dressing room and also play in front of crowds again and very happy about it.”
