Brentford left winger Yoane Wissa, who earlier refused to join training sessions with the team, is back, but has informed Brentford management of his desire to join the Champions League, also interested in joining Newcastle. The Congolese international is currently facing a rough time with Brentford. According to sources familiar with the matter, the 28-year-old has made it clear that he has no intention of rejoining group training, despite being scheduled to return to the club’s base in London. Earlier, Wissa had left the Bees’ pre-season training camp in Portugal early last week to return to London for discussions about his future with the club’s management.

According to Sky Reports, Wissa returned to the training session on Wednesday. However, he is quite disappointed with the club's attitude towards his future in the club. Brentford sold Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard, and Mark Flekken this summer and are reluctant to see another key player depart. Last season, Wissa had a great match for the West London side last season, scoring 20 goals and registering five assists across 39 appearances. Presently, he has one year left with the club before joining the next.

Brentford is quite keen to hold back Yoane Wissa despite the dispute

Yoane Wissa is set on leaving Brentford this summer and feels let down by the club’s leadership, who had assured him they would support his exit if a suitable offer came in. He has been open about his disappointment over the collapse of a potential transfer to Newcastle United, who submitted a £25 million bid, which was turned down by the Bees.

While other players have begun returning to training, the standoff between Wissa and the club persists. Meanwhile, Tottenham and Nottingham have also showed their keen interest towards the Congo international.
