The record five-time IPL winners, Mumbai Indians marked their maiden win in the ongoing season of the tournament by defeating Delhi Capitals in a nail-biting thriller on Tuesday. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the MI's social media post, where they mocked Royal Challengers Bangalore, after their maiden win for IPL 2023.

In a thrilling IPL encounter that went on till the last ball, the hosts, Delhi Capitals put up a score of 172 all-out on the board. However, the Rohit-led squad won the match by six wickets on the last ball of the match. The skipper, who couldn’t make a mark in the earlier matches for the season, scored a smashing knock of 65 off 45 deliveries. He was awarded the Player of the Match and a trophy for scoring the most fours and longest six in the match.

MI took it to their social accounts and shared a sarcastic post taking a dig at Royal Challengers Bangalore, as their fans mocked the MI captain during the MI vs RCB clash in Bangalore. During MI’s encounter with RCB, Bangalore fans were seen shouting ‘Rohit Vadapav’, which didn't go well with the Mumbai-based franchise.

Replying to this mockery, MI on their socials posted, ‘You believe in Karma, we believe in Sharma’. MI skipper had failed to play any significant contribution in the earlier matches of the season. However, his powerful knock of 65 off 45 was a befitting reply to the ones who criticized the player. Sharma not only scored 65 but also won the Player of the Match award for the 19th time, which is the most by any player in IPL history.
