The second edition of the Legends League Cricket is underway. In fact, it’s in the last stages with the final to be played on 5 October between India Capitals and Bhilwara Kings. It is expected to be a high-octane clash considering how things fared between the two sides when they last met. Things seemed to go south when Capitals’ Mitchell Johnson and Kings’ Yusuf Pathan got engaged in a spat.

Such was the intensity of the spat that Johnson shoved Pathan and the two had to be separated by the on-field umpires and the players. The organizers did not take this lightly as they fined Johnson 50% of his match fee and also gave the pacer a warning. Meanwhile, Pathan survived any sort of action from the authorities as he did not even get a warning.

Now, as per reports in Australian media, it was Kings’ Pathan who was the real offender and not Johnson. The reports claimed that Pathan was trying to sledge one of the female umpires and Johnson stepped in to calm things down. The report claimed that Pathan was not happy with one of the decisions given by the umpire and hence he hurled a few words at the Australian, Kim Cotton.

Yusuf reportedly criticized Cotton for her choice to not call the final delivery of Johnson's third over a wide, which prompted the former Australia quick to object to it. After that, the two players also exchanged a few words and got into a spat. "Mitch [Johnson] did nothing. [Pathan] was sledging the female umpires," Fox Cricket Australia quoted a player as saying, who decided to keep his identity anonymous.

Nevertheless, it was a great cricketing contest between the two players as Pathan belted Johnson 6, 4, and 6 in an over while smashing 48 off of just 28 balls. But it was the pacer who had the last laugh as he dismissed Pathan.
