Preview

India have already claimed the series having won the first two matches. Both the games were one-sided affairs for India. Although Zimbabwe put up a fight in the second match, India were pretty neat in all three departments in both games. Now, the hosts will look to get a consolation win with the third match scheduled for 22 August. Meanwhile, India will look to register another big win to boost their confidence. Captain KL Rahul will be eager to get a big score against his name before he pairs up with the Asia Cup squad.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Harare Sports Club is known for its nature of producing high-scoring games. Batters find it easy to score runs throughout a match. In the recently concluded ZIM vs BAN series, Zimbabwe chased down targets of around 300 with ease. This means that ZIM vs IND games are also going to be high-scoring. For bowlers (spinners), there will be a little help in the middle overs.

Team Analysis

India:
The Men in Blue have all the resources and captain KL Rahul has utilized them perfectly. While Deepak Chahar put on a promising show on his international comeback, his replacement in the second ODI, Shardul Thakur nailed it with a three-wicket haul in the second ODI. Other bowlers were also equally good for India in both games. Mohammed Siraj has done tremendously well with the new ball. The batters have also done a great job to chase down small targets with ease. Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, and Sanju Samson were the heroes for India with the bat. However, captain KL Rahul needs to find his mojo back as he was dismissed cheaply in the second game.

Zimbabwe:
The hosts have not got the desired result in the two games they have played. The batters have put the team down as they have been bundled out cheaply. Apart from Brad Evans and Richard Ngavara in the first ODI, there have not been any impactful performances. Sikandar Raza, who was the star for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh has failed to carry on the momentum and form which has perhaps dented Zimbabwe’s chances. The bowlers have done a fair job but they have not got the needed support. Nevertheless, the team would look to end things on a high when they take the field on Monday.

Conclusion

India are on a winning spree and it won’t be a tough task for the KL Rahul-led team to take down Zimbabwe with plenty of good resources available in the visitors’ camp.
