MS Dhoni finishes it off in style! No, we are not talking about 2011. It's 2021 but the 40-year-old certainly rolled back the years to take Chennai Super Kings over the line when the match was poised in a very tight situation. With 24 runs required off the last 11 deliveries, Thala walked out to bat ahead of Ravindra Jadeja which caught everyone by surprise.

However, the right-handed batsman justified his call by hitting a flat six over deep mid-wicket to get his side back into the contest. With Moeen Ali dismissed on the first ball of the final over, MSD had the task to get 13 runs in 5 deliveries and the CSK captain did it in style by hitting three boundaries helped coupled with a wide from Tom Curran to take his side through to their 9th IPL finals.

Fans go berserk on social media

As expected, MS Dhoni's unbeaten 18-run knock off only 6 deliveries got the entire social media buzzing as fans were delighted to see the legend back in form. In no time, Twitter was flooded with posts hailing Dhoni as the 40-year-old certainly proved that there is still some spark left in him and he is indeed 'not finished'.

There is no doubt that Dhoni's late cameo took all the limelight but the knocks from Ruturaj Gaikwad (70 off 50) and Robin Uthappa (63 off 44) were equally crucial for CSK as they hunted down the 173-run target in 19.4 overs, with 4 wickets in hand.
