I feel I’m well-prepared. We did a good preparation: Jannik Sinner on heat factor next week

Jannik Sinner struggled with the heat factor in Roland Garros and after his win he was asked about the heat factor. Later this week, Sinner will find heat becoming more of a factor with the Met Office predicting temperatures could rise as high as 35 degrees. Speaking about the heat factor, Sinner said “I feel I’m well-prepared. We did a good preparation. Whatever happened in the past is gone already. Now we see if we found a solution. If not, we keep working on the next one.’’

Jannik Sinner also credited his opponent Mochizuki “He's very tricky to face. On this surface, his game suits it extremely well. Considering everything, I tried to stay a bit more aggressive. I had a few chances in the second set but couldn't convert them. Still, I'm very happy with my performance today. I'm trying to improve a little every day, and I'm pleased with how I played today,” he said after the conclusion of the match.

Jannik Sinner will be up against Jan-Lennard Struff in the Quarter Finals. Struff moved into his first major quarter-final after Hubert Hurkacz was forced to retire when trailing 3-6, 6-7(5), 7-6(2), 7-5, 4-2. Struff is the oldest man in the Open Era to reach the first major quarter-final at the age of 36. When it comes to the Head-to-Head battle between these two players, Sinner has won all three of their previous meetings, with one of those being on grass. Sinner will play his quarter final match on Tuesday.
