LeBron James officially became the first player in NBA history to play 300 career playoff games. At the age of 41, he reached this milestone during Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals, showing his postseason NBA dominance. No other player in the history of the NBA has achieved this feat; only Derek Fisher comes next with 259 career games. King James is currently averaging 23 points in the 2026 season.

Despite the Los Angeles Lakers losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the veteran has continued to make records in the history books. He has given a considerate post-season performance with 23 points and six assists. Only nine players besides the 41-year-old have even managed to surpass 200 playoff appearances. This shows the dominance of LeBron James in the NBA and his longevity.

LeBron James has only missed the NBA Playoffs 4 times

LeBron James longevity in the NBA is without question justified by his numbers. Although many might not consider him an NBA all-time great, the fact that in his entire career he has just missed the NBA playoffs only 4 times is beyond comprehension. King James continues to be one of the best players in the league, averaging 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season.

Although James continues his stellar form, the Los Angeles Lakers have not won a title since 2020. For 3 consecutive years, they have finished as a No.7 seed and finished as a No.3 seed this season.

It would be interesting to see how many years more the 41-year-old veteran keeps playing in the NBA.
