PV Sindhu just came back from a two-month competitive break, and she is representing India in the Uber Cup 2026. The 37-year-old today had to match back-to-back in quick succession, which led her into deep physical strain as she shared a picture online with ice packs on her shoulder and gave the caption ā€œNot 19 anymoreā€

PV Sindhu played the first game of the Group A clash against Denmark’s Christophersen, and she won the match in three sets 21-13, 18-21, 21-17. The match required high-level physical strength with long rallies and momentum and swings, forcing Sindhu to push her strength, but as she had just returned from a break, it took a toll on her strength.

After hours of this tiring battle, and Denmark already leading India by 3-1, she came to play another game, partnering up with Tanisha Crasto to give India a consolation win in the final game. Sindhu posted on Twitter and Instagram a picture of her with ice packs on her shoulder and knee, giving the caption, ā€œTwo matches in two hours. Must-win tie. And my body politely reminding me I’m not 19 anymore.ā€

India lost to Denmark despite PV Sindhu’s Efforts

Although PV Sindhu won both the games against Denmark, her second doubles game was too late as Denmark was already 3-1 ahead. Several other matches resulted in a close encounter between both the nations, but India lost.
