Pakistan Cricket Board is set to conduct Pakistan Junior Cricket League, studded with six city-based franchises. Informing about the same in a press release, PCB informed that participating players must be selected through a draft system and each dug-out to boast an iconic player who will serve as the team's mentor or coach. The competition will kick start on October 1st and the final will be played on October 15 at the Gaddafi Stadium.

PCB has further informed that it will initiate a bidding process after Eid Al-Fitr for live-streaming rights. PCB chief Ramiz Raja was quoted, "the feedback received from the stakeholders and sponsors has boosted his confidence to embark on a journey which will provide one of its kind opportunity for cricket aspirants in the country." Adding further, Raja expressed that he is optimistic that the tournament will succeed in forming a solid relationship that will produce dividends and developments for Pakistan cricket.

The 20-over league will give a platform for under-19 players to integrate with foreign players to share dug-outs as part of their learning process, improve their cricketing skills, share knowledge, and build towards their future bonding. The statement released by the PCB, further informed that the hundred best players will be provided with monthly stipends of PKR 30,000 each, scholarship at a premier educational institution, free cricket gear and equipment, and high performance coaching at the state-of-the-art National High-Performance Centre from the leading and highly-qualified international coaches.
