Pro Kabaddi League 2021: Players retained by each franchise ahead of auction

More than 450 players will go under the hammer in the mega auction and many big players are up for grabs for the franchises.

The eighth edition of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2021 is set to start in December. The auction for the tournament will take place from today till August 31st. More than 450 players will go under the hammer in the mega auction and many big players are up for grabs for the franchises. Players like Ajay Thakur and Rahul Chaudhari are likely to get high bids in the auction. The auction pool has been divided into 4 categories.

Category A: Rs Rs 30 lakh

Category B: Rs 20 lakh

Category C: Rs 10 lakh

Category D: Rs 6 lakh

Talking about the retention of players, a total of 59 players have been retained by franchises collectively, out of which, 22 are in the Elite Retained Players (ERP) category, six in the Retained Young Players (RYP) category, and 31 are in the New Young Players (NYP) category.
