Indian players left from Mumbai to London in a chartered plane on Wednesday night and reached Heathrow airport yesterday. After a long journey, they left for Southampton in a bus for another 2-hour ride and finally reached their hotel at Ageas Bowl. BCCI recently released a video of the historic travel of the team which gave a glimpse of the journey of some players. While few players had a peaceful journey, one cricketer had a sleepless night during the travel. Interestingly, Axar Patel also revealed the team plans after reaching the UK.

We can't meet each other for three days: Axar Patel

Indian all-rounder Axar Patel had quite a fun journey as he watched movies, slept and looked absolutely delighted. While having breakfast during the travel, he said, "Ekdum badhiya si neend aayi hai. Pehle do ghante movie dekha, uske baad 6 ghante so gaya. Ab breakfast kar raha hu, ekdum fresh hu." (I had a good sleep. I watched movies for first two hours and slept for 6 hours after that. Having my breakfast now, feeling very fresh.)

However, he did not look very happy about the fact that they will have to undergo another three days of quarantine on reaching UK. Reflecting on the team's plans, he said, "Pohochne ke baad vahi plan hai, quarantine hona hai. Abhi tak itna pata hai ki teen din tak ham ek dusre se mil nahi sakte toh teen din quarantine hai." (After reaching UK, we have to quarantine. As per the current knowledge, we can't meet each other for three days so there will be three days of quarantine).

How was the journey of other cricketers?

Cheteshwar Pujara revealed that he and his daughter slept really well and looked quite fresh in the morning as he drank juice. However, the journey was not as peaceful for fast-bowler Mohammed Siraj. As the flight landed in London and the team left for Southampton, the 27-year-old revealed, "Pehle toh do ghante soya fir Rohit bhaiya ne aake utha diya. Uske baad neend hi nahi aayi." (I slept for first two hours but Rohit bro woke me up. I couldn't sleep after that)

Siraj also revealed that he was tired because he had a long training session the previous day and will be looking to have much-needed rest on reaching Southampton. Notably, the team have reached the hotel and have started their three-day quarantine period at Ageas Bowl.
