The suspended Pakistan Super League 6 is all set to resume in the month of June. However, the remainder of the tournament will now not take place in Karachi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has got all necessary approvals to host the remainder season in UAE. Although the schedule for the season is yet to be announced, the tournament body has confirmed of hosting it later next month.

Shahid Afridi pulls out of remainder PSL 6

Amidst all these updates, one of the PSL franchise has suffered a big blow. Multan Sultans’ star player Shahid Afridi has withdrawn from the tournament. The Pakistan cricketer suffered back pain while training for the tournament. As per the advise of the doctor, the star cricket has been advised rest and will thus miss the season.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricketer has been replaced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's left-arm spinner Asif Afridi. Asif will join the Sultans squad in Abu Dhabi for the remainder season.
