In the main event of WWE Clash in Paris Premium Live Event (PLE) at the Paris La Defense Arena in France, Seth Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Championship after an unlikely assist from his wife and fellow superstar Becky Lynch. After retaining her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Hall of Famer Nikki Bella earlier in the night, Beck Lynch made her way inside the ring in a disguise before going low on CM Punk and revealing herself to shock the fans inside the arena and all over the world.
The odds were stacked against Seth Rollins in a fatal four-way match for his World Heavyweight Championship especially after The Oracle Paul Heyman got sent to the hospital by Roman Reigns at the start of the WWE Clash in Paris PLE. Also, two other members of his group called The Vision, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, were barred from the Paris La Defense Arena after their brutal attack on Roman Reigns in the aftermath of The Aus-Zilla losing to The OTC.
During the title match, CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight did gang up on Seth Rollins at one stage, but the importance of winning the championship superseded their hate for The Visionary, and it led to them battling against each other as well. Ultimately, just after Rollins stomped Uso and Knight outside the ring, he technically found himself in a one-on-one bout with Punk, who was within touching distance of winning the title until Becky Lynch got involved.
Becky Lynch joins Seth Rollins' The Vision group in WWE
Following the successful retention of his World Heavyweight Championship, Seth Rollins celebrated his on-screening unity with wife Becky Lynch in front of over 30,000 strong at the Paris La Defense Arena and millions watching all over the world. Shortly after, Lynch took to X to confirm her association with The Vision by sharing a picture of herself with Rollins and posting, “We run this business. #The Vision”.
With CM Punk getting screwed over by Seth Rollins again and again since his return to WWE in late 2023, it will be interesting to see how and if Punk goes after Rollins and The Vision once again.
