On the latest episode of SmackDown at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York, Zack Ryder made a shocking return to WWE in over five years, to compete in “The Last Time is Now Tournament”. In the first round match of the tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent next month, Zack Ryder was a surprise opponent for LA Knight but he ended up losing to him.
The two of the most popular superstars in WWE had a hard-hitting match, going back-and-forth with a right to earn a shot at retiring John Cena during Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Zack Ryder hit the Rough Ryder in the closing stages of the match but LA Knight managed to kick out in the nick of time to keep fighting on despite being put in a tough spot of not having any preparation for his opponent before arriving in Albany, New York.

The end came when Ryder went to the second rope and dived before Knight countered with a powerbomb and then, he nailed a BFT to pick up the big pinfall victory. After the referee raised the hand of the Megastar, he sent a message to John Cena by holding up his right hand to possibly do the “You Can’t See Me” before aborting it altogether.
Apart from LA Knight, Jey Uso also advanced to the next round of the “The Last Time is Now Tournament” after defeating The Miz on SmackDown. Later on the same show at the MVP Arena, Jey Uso, in tow with his brother Jimmy Uso, came down to the ring in the main event to save WWE Champion Cody Rhodes from a beatdown by The Vision and Drew McIntyre with the Survivor Series WarGames match already set.
