Virat Kohli on Friday morning received a momento in the form of a cap from India's head coach Rahul Dravid on achieving a feat. Virat Kohli joined the elite list after he stepped out to played his 100th Test. What caught eyeballs was Kohli was accompanied by his wife Anushka Sharma and all his teammates before Dravid felicitated him on his 100th Test. Earlier, Rohit Sharma won the toss against Sri Lanka and opted to bat first.

With this special feat, the Indian batter has become only the twelfth man in the history of Indian cricket to achieve this rare feat.  Dravid during the presentation said, "It is well deserved, well earned and hopefully it is just a start of many things to come. As we say in the dressing room, double it up."

The 33-year-old joined an elite list of Indian batters to have achieved the feat which includes Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, and Virender Sehwag. Kohli, who was asked to share his thoughts on this occasion, thanked the BCCI, teammates, his wife, family, and friends for always supporting him.

"Indeed, it's a special moment for my family and me as well. I want to express my gratitude towards every teammate I played with and who helped me in my game", said Kohli. Kohli, who was accompanied by his wife Anushka Sharma, thanked her for supporting and understanding his dream and letting him follow it without any condition.

Notably, Kohli also suggested youngsters learning to thrive amidst the rate at which cricket is being played. "I would like only to suggest aspiring cricketers to be honest and stay fit to play for a longer period and continue to thrive." He also admitted that Test cricket is something that he always prioritized and has played a lot of cricket in the form of ODIs, T20Is and IPL but still gave utmost importance to Test cricket.
