Cristiano Ronaldo has been in splendid goal-scoring form this season. Despite there being some evident limitations to his game at this stage of his career, the five-time Ballon d'Or continues to be the nucleus of his side and consistently finds the back of the net. While he has already bailed United out of trouble a few times in the past this season, he did it yet again in a Champions League encounter against Atalanta on Tuesday night.

The Champions League's all-time highest goal scorer kicked on a superb volley from outside the box in what was the 91st minute of the match and United were trailing 2-1. However, the goal helped United find the equaliser and the Red Devils walked away with a crucial point in this match.

Here is the video of Ronaldo's stoppage time goal:

Not only did Ronaldo score this goal but even the team's first goal was netted by the 36-year-old himself which had also restored parity after Atalanta had gone 1-0 up. While there are individual brilliance in the United side, they have struggled to fire as a unit this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjer.

However, for now, Ronaldo's goal has yet again bailed the Norwegian manager out of trouble and perhaps given him some time after there are increasing talks of Ole getting sacked.

CR7's goal in dying minutes vs Atalanta was Jordon moment: Solskjaer

After the match though Solskjaer looked confident of his team's performance, he even termed Ronaldo's stoppage-time goal as a Michael Jordan moment.

"We kept going, we had a good attitude, we are fit, we did the same as at Old Trafford, we got a goal and we got a very important point," Solskjaer told BeIn Sport.

"Ronaldo is incredible, if there's anyone you want the ball to fall to in the last minute, it's him. He's the best goalscorer alive, and it's hard for me to say that because he just went past me with his two goals, now he's got one more goal for Man Utd than me, but well done," he added.

"That last goal there, that must be a Michael Jordan moment when he wins championships in extra time. No-one can question the attitude and character of these players, they never give up, and sometimes we play better than tonight but as long as I see that attitude every time, the quality will come," he further said.
