It was a tough day for Rajasthan Royals in Sharjah as Kolkata Knight Riders absolutely outplayed them in all departments on Thursday. Eoin Morgan’s side dominated the match from the very first delivery and RR stood no chance against them on this day. It was a day to forget for Sanju Samson’s side but there was someone else as well who made a slight blunder after the match. It was none other than the former Indian cricketer turned commentator – Murali Kartik.

There is no doubt that the 45-year-old is one of the best presenters in the country. However, it is not an easy profession as even a minor hiccup during the live show could get the attention of netizens on social media. Something very similar happened during the post-match presentation ceremony of match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Man of the match – Shivam Mavi or Shivam Dube?

KKR youngster Shivam Mavi was adjudged as man of the match for his exceptional spell of bowling where he took 4 wickets while only conceding 21 runs in 3.1 overs. When asked about his favourite wicket on the day by Murali Kartik, the pacer replied that he enjoyed the dismissal of RR all-rounder Shivam Dube.

This is what might have got Kartik slightly confused towards the end of presentation as he mistakenly called out Shivam Dube as man of the match instead of Shivam Mavi, while concluding the ceremony.

Fans troll Murali Kartik for his blunder

Although it was a very minor mistake, it was quite obvious that fans on social media won’t miss this opportunity to troll the commentator. Fans couldn’t control their laughter while reflecting on the funny mistake made by Kartik as the long double-header day was wrapped up with some entertainment for everyone.

Notably, Shivam Dube had an extremely contrasting day in Sharjah as compared to Shivam Mavi. The RR all-rounder conceded 18 runs in 2 overs with the ball before playing a slow 18-run knock off 20 deliveries in second innings.
