Pakistan men’s team captain Babar Azam has got in to trouble as he brought his younger brother to the high-performance centre in Lahore and allowed him a net practice. Azam was at the centre before the conditioning camp. As per sources, Babar realised his mistake of bringing any of his relatives or friends for practice as he was politely reminded about his mistake and told to not repeat it again.

As reported by PTI sources, “Babar came to the centre three-four days back with his brother and this was before the conditioning camp had begun. And his brother later held nets which was brought to the notice of the board.”

"He is our national team captain and the matter was handled in a manner where he was politely reminded about the situation and he agreed," the source said.

Babar was having daily nets at the HPC as he was preparing for the upcoming international season. Similarly,  PCB is also inviting around 60 players in two batches to attend two-week conditioning camps to train for the new season.

Pakistan will next face West Indies in a three-game ODI tournament where they would look to get ready for the upcoming World Cup. But in their recent series against Australia, they struggled and lost the Test and T20I series. One of the players who struggled against Australia was Hasan Ali, but recently he has come out and assured the fans that he come back stronger.

“There is no other way to silence the critics except performances. I couldn't take wickets in the home series against Australia but this does not mean that my career is decided based on that, I am a fighter and will make a strong comeback,” Hasan said.

“Overall, I have performed well in all formats. If I see, I am the second-best bowler in the national team since my debut if not the first. Babar Azam knows I am a fighter and this is why he supports me. A player cannot perform in every match or series, in the past, many great cricketers have faced criticism during their careers, hard work and effort are in my hands, I will try to rectify my shortcomings,” he added.
