Now, another reports are emerging that the Chairman of Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Mohsin Naqvi has locked the Asia Cup Trophy at ACC Headquarters in Dubai. The Asia Cup 2025 was filled with controversies, especially due to the matches between India and Pakistan. From no hands shakes to provocative gestures, there had been several moments that added more tensions during the India versus Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup.
However, the major controversy erupted when the Men In Blue defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final in Dubai on September 28 to win their ninth Asia Cup title. After winning the match, the Indian team refused to accept the trophy from ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board and Interior Minister in his country. After that, Naqvi left the stage presentation ceremony along with the trophy as the Indian team had to leave without the trophy despite winning the tournament.
