Asia Cup 2025 winner to win over INR 2 Cr? Reports reveal prize money for upcoming tournament

The highly-anticipated Men’s Asia Cup 2025 is all set to get underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9. The continental tournament which will be played in T20 format this year, will be played across the next 20 days with the final set to be played on September 28. The Indian team, who will be without their star trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, will be led by Suryakumar Yadav.

While the Men in Blue enter the tournament as defending champions, as they eye to lift their record ninth title this time around. Notably, the eight-team tournament will see the teams divided into two groups of four each. While India have been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, UAE and Oman, Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

Asia Cup 2025 to award INR 2.6 Cr to title winners: Reports

Just hours ahead of the continental tournament, speculations hit the roof of Asia Cup 2025’s prize money. According to reports citing PTI, the prize money has seen significant rise from its previous edition. If the reports are to be believed, the title winners are expected to receive $300,000, which amounts to be approximately INR 2.6 Cr.

The runners-up on the other hand are expected to get $150,000, which amounts to be INR 1.3 Crore. Additionally, the Player of the Series, will earn as much as INR 12.5 Lakh. While this rests at one place, an official confirmation from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is still awaited on the same.
