Team India veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya has given crucial advice to his teammates prior to the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash against Pakistan on Sunday, September 21. After a week, both arch-rivals will play against each other for the second time in the continental tournament. In the group round, India looked disciplined and became the first team to qualify for the Super 4 round while Pakistan’s victories came against the associate nations Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Against the Men in Green on September 14, India looked extraordinary in all departments of the game and claimed a convincing seven-wicket win. Just a week later, Team India fans expect their side to do the same.
After the reigning champions’ 21-run win over Oman, Hardik Pandya delivered a crucial message to his teammates about taking on Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 round. The all-rounder said, as per Livemint, “On 21st (September), it's just another game. Let's play the game when it’s played, not before it. Good luck guys.”
Hardik Pandya’s performances against Pakistan in T20Is
Hardik Pandya has troubled Pakistan in T20I time and again. His record is superb against the Men in Green. Appearing in eight T20Is, the 31-year-old has picked up 14 wickets at a thrifty economy of 7.75. With the bat, he has scored 91 runs in six innings. In the last game played against Pakistan on September 14, he took the crucial wicket of opener Saim Ayub in the opening over to help India start the match confidently.
On this coming Sunday, Hardik Pandya's role will be to deliver effective results to the team in all departments of the game. With Jasprit Bumrah, he will be expected to bolster India’s fast-bowling attack while as a batter, he will be expected to strengthen the middle-order. Currently, Hardik and Bumrah are the most experienced players in India’s T20I team and the star all-rounder will look to justify his reputation.
