Former India cricketer and captain of the side, MS Dhoni is all set to explore new ventures as he continues to play some final years in the prized Indian Premier League (IPL). Aged 44, Dhoni, who was last seen on the field in Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) disappointing IPL 2025 campaign, where they finished at the bottom-most spot, is all set to make his Bollywood debut.

As he spends time off the cricket field, he was recently spotted wielding guns in an action packed teaser alongside Bollywood star R Madhavan, who is known for his on-screen brilliance in movies like 3 Idiots and others. The Bollywood actor surprised fans by dropping a clip of his upcoming project.

In a surprising turn of events, the teaser showcases Madhavan and MS Dhoni dressed in black gear, complete with bulletproof vests and sunglasses as they step into the character as officiers, seemingly going on a high-stakes mission. Taking to Instagram, the Bollywood star captioned the post, “One mission. Two fighters. Buckle up – a wild, explosive chase begins. The Chase – teaser out now. Directed by Vasan Bala. Coming soon.”

The actor-cum director also tagged MS Dhoni in the post. However, not much is known of the project as everyone involved have remained tight-lipped whether it is a film, series or a special project. Furthermore, not much is known of Dhoni’s role as of now, but the teaser has just started to strike the buzz around in the cricketing as well an entertainment circle.

Speaking of the 44-year-old veteran, Dhoni was last seen leading CSK in IPL 2025. He took over the reins from Ruturaj Gaikwad after the top-order batter was ruled out with an elbow injury. In the 2025 season, Dhoni scored 196 runs across 14 matches, striking at the rate of 135.17.

Speaking of his participation in IPL 2026, it continues to be under cloud as he has now confirmed of the same. But with N Srinivasan’s return to CSK, it is being speculated that Dhoni might continue in the 2026 season.
