After his retirement from the Test format, the fans are eagerly waiting for Indian ODI skipper Rohit Sharma to get back in action for the Men in Blue. The opening batter will be now seen in action in the ODI series against Australia starting on October 19. It is going to a crucial series for Rohit who last played a professional cricket match in May 2025. With his eyes on the next ODI World Cup in 2027, Rohit will be looking to continue his great form in the 50-over format after retiring from T20I and Tests.

Recently, Rohit Sharma was seen sweating hard at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Singahalli, Karnataka. Along with Rohit, KL Rahul was also seen training at COE as both were featured in a video shared by the BCCI on social media. “As part of their preparation for the upcoming assignments, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul trained at the BCCI Centre Of Excellence focusing on skills and strength training,” BCCI wrote while sharing the video on social media.

In a video shared by the BCCI on social media, it can be seen that Rohit Sharma was practicing with white ball while KL Rahul was practicing with the red ball. Notably, before the Australia tour, Rahul will be seen in the home Test series against West Indies. India are scheduled to host two Test matches against the Windies from October 2 to October 14.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma will be next seen taking charge for India in the ODI series against Australia. KL Rahul is also going to be a crucial member of the team on the Australian tour and both the players have been working hard before taking charge on the field.
