Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has taken a swipe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj for his dare to Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav. Following India’s seven-wicket win over Pakistan on September 14, when Suryakumar dedicated the team’s win to the Indian Armed Forces and Pahalgam victims’ families, the next day, Bhardwaj held a presser and criticised Yadav and other India players’ participation in the match against the Men in Green. Bhardwaj had said it’s easy to dedicate the victory, and went on to challenge Suryakumar to give his entire earning from the tournaments to the families of the victims.
After India’s title win on September 28, when Suryakumar Yadav attended a presser and announced that he will give entire match fees earned from Asia Cup 2025 to the Indian Army. Following Yadav’s generous gesture, BJP posted a video to take a dig at Bhardwaj.

Suryakumar Yadav scripts history as captain with Asia Cup success
With the Asia Cup 2025 title triumph, Suryakumar Yadav has broke into record books as the sixth India skipper to win the continental tournament. He joined the elite list of Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Mohamaad Azharuddin, MS Dhoni, and Rohit Sharma, who won the Asia Cup while captaining India.
However, Suryakumar Yadav’s batting form has caused concern among Team India supporters. Appearing in seven matches of the marquee tournament, he could score only 72 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 101.40. He will be expected to regain his form soon as India will have to defend their T20 World Cup title under the 35-year-old. India will play their next T20I series in Australia between October 29 to November 8.
