Team India to play for pride in the third ODI
The third ODI will be played at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Saturday and India will be expected to win the match and avoid the whitewash. Gill and veteran Virat Kohli will look to produce impactful knocks from their bats as both struggled to be among the runs. Kohli registered ducks in both matches and his critics are coming heavily on him.
Rohit, who got dismissed after scoring only eight in the first ODI, looked confident as he notched up 73 runs off 97 balls. The 38-year-old’s supporters will want him to come heavily on Australia’s bowling attack again in Sydney. On the other hand, Australia will strive to whitewash India for the first time in the bilaterals played in the 21st century. Despite the absence of their regular captain Pat Cummins, the hosts have performed spectacularly under Mitchell Marsh.
