
The Royal Nimar Eagles batter has scored a match-winning knock of 78 off 40 balls to secure a commanding victory over the Ujjain Falcons by 27 runs. He walked in to bat at number 4 and his innings gave the Eagles the much needed finish in the back end of the innings. Anand made sure to stay till the end of the innings and he helped his side get past the 250-run mark. He was striking at over 190 and that set the tone for the innings. The game was a high-scoring thriller with more than 450 runs scored in the encounter but it was the Royal Nimar Eagles who came out on top at the end of the match.
With the kind of batting prowess that the Royal Nimar Eagles displayed in the first innings, it was a difficult fightback for the Ujjain Falcons. They set a total of 253 for the Falcons to chase and many of the fans would have believed that the match ended right there. Kanishk Dubey and Abhishekh Mavi were also impressive with their aggressive intent as they scored quickfire half-centuries. It was a one-sided contest in the first half of the innings but the Falcons did do pretty well to reduce the margin of defeat to just 27 runs.
Royal Nimar Eagles cruise to victory against Ujjain Falcons
After the 2nd wicket fell in the first innings for the Royal Nimar Eagles, they were in a spot of bother as they lost two wickets in the powerplay itself. With the start they got in the match, it was important that Anand Bais carried on the momentum that was generated by the top-order.
Anand Bais played a stunning knock with some exquisite shots and put the Falcons under immense pressure. Then he formed a solid partnership with Kanishk Dubey for 106 runs and that was a very crucial important one in the context of the game. Then Abhishekh Mavi walked in to bat at number 5, and he also scored an important knock of 55 off just 17 balls to help the Eagles post a mammoth total on board.
In the second innings of the game, the Royal Nimar Eagles bowled brilliantly with the new ball to pick some big wickets early on. The Falcons lost 3 wickets early in the innings for just 40 runs and they were already under a fair bit of pressure. The knocks of Ojaswa Yadav and Ankur Singh Chauhan would have just given a glimmer of hope for the side as both of them were finding the boundaries with ease. They were getting closer and closer to the target but the wickets in hand were one of the major reasons why they couldn’t complete the chase.
However, the Ujjain Falcons finished on a strong note with the explosive knock of Harshvardhan Hardia, scoring 41 off just 12 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes. The Eagles skipper, Saransh Jain was clinical with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets in his bowling spell and conceded just 35 runs as well. The Player of the Match award was presented to Anand Bais for his contribution and the Royal Nimar Eagles would be mighty pleased with the result they have got against the Ujjain Falcons.
