Of lately, there’ve been all kinds of speculations with regard to Arjun Tendulkar’s cricketing fewer especially where it comes to domestic cricket. The talented fast bowling cricketer who happens to the son of legendary batting demigod Sachin Tendulkar was a stage in his career where there had to be clarity as to with which team would he continue to play domestic cricket.
And now finally after weeks of speculation and pure guesswork it appears that there’s clarity and finally so! The reticent but resilient cricketer is a left handed seam bowler who’s noted for putting in the hard yards and even received training from the great Indian all round legend Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh.
Now, it can be said for certain that Tendulkar jr. shall continue to remain a part of the Goa team as far as his domestic playing duties are concerned. It’s a team to which Tendulkar’s loyalties have remained unfailingly pure.
But that’s not all; there’s more one needs to know about the Arjun Tendulkar and team Goa connection. He had moved from Mumbai to Goa at the end of the 2022-23 season.
A report published recently on the very subject by NDTV happened to highlight the following excerpt:
He has also worked on his batting and has played some significant knocks for the side. He scored a century against Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy and has been an important part of the Goa team setup across formats.
Having said that, it was a matter of shame and disbelief when despite good talent he was so heavily underutilised by his IPL side- Lucknow SuperGiants. But the 26-year-old has been patient and working relentlessly to better his craft.
And he has the supper and appreciation from different quarters connected to the game.
