Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh opened up on the controversies that kept him in the headlines all during the IPL 2026 season. Singh’s statement came after India’s 2-1 defeat in the ODI series against England where the speedster remained wicketless in his only appearance during the series decider. Earlier during the IPL 2026 season, Singh made it to the headlines, due to his social media antics and controversial posts. The bowler found himself at the receiving end of criticism, leading him to remove most of his Instagram posts following Punjab Kings’ exit from the tournament.
Following India’s defeat from England, Singh appeared on Krishnank Atrey’s YouTube channel, where he was asked the reason behind deleting his Instagram posts. Singh responded by saying that the IPL season didn’t go as per his expectations and he wanted to clean things up. Not only this, he went on to say that people make issues out of it and question everything that happened.
“IPL had ended and I felt like cleaning things up, so I was properly clearing everything out. I mean, people make an issue out of it, asking why I removed the videos and what happened to Arshdeep’s Instagram account, why he changed it overnight. But it’s nothing like that, bro. I just felt like removing them, so I did. If I feel like it, I’ll put them back. It’s just about my mood. Whenever I feel like it, I post something,” said Singh.

The 27-year-old bowler also revealed the names he shares most memes with. He went on to say that players including Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan and Jitesh Sharma, and him have a group where they all keep exchanging memes with each other.
“There’s a group consisting of Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan and me. The four of us have been close since we were newly selected for the Indian team. So whenever something funny happens, like someone says something in an interview that later backfires and memes are made about it, we keep sending those memes to each other,” Singh revealed.
Notably, Singh has played 18 ODIs with 30 wickets and 91 T20Is with 135 wickets in the Indian colours.
