India Enjoys Historic Day Before Action-Packed Sunday

India enjoyed another outstanding day at the Commonwealth Games 2026 on Saturday as their medal tally received another major boost following a sensational day. Boxers Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Priya Ghanghas, Jadumani Singh Mandengbam, Sachin Siwach, Ankush Panghal and Narender Berwal clinched gold medals in their respective weight categories, while Sakshi Chaudhary, Arundhati Choudhary and Lovlina Borgohain settled for silver. The dominant display marked India's best-ever boxing campaign at the Commonwealth Games.

 

The remarkable performance further strengthened India's position on the medal table and continued the country's impressive run in Glasgow. The focus now shifts to judo, track cycling and para track cycling as the Indian contingent looks to add more medals on Day 11.
