The Final of the 2026 WT20 is set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8. Both these teams have done extremely well in this tournament and are the deserved finalists. New Zealand beat South Africa in the semi-final while India beat England by seven runs in the second semi-final. A lot of how the pitch will play will depend on the nature of the soil that is provided. As per reports it is going to be a mixed soil with more red soil as compared to black soil. In this article we look at bowlers who could be deadly on Ahmedabad Surface.
1.Jasprit Bumrah
One of the best pacers in the World across formats, Jasprit Bumrah could be very hard to play on the Ahmedabad surface. He has plenty of variations, good pace and can bowl a quick bouncer. He also is a master of the death overs and can bowl Yorkers at will. It is his home ground so expect him to do well on this surface. In the only match he played at Ahmedabad in this WT20 against South Africa he was excellent, picking up three wickets and going for very few runs.
2.Lockie Ferguson
He generally bowls at 145 and quicker so this surface which has good bounce and carry will suit him really well. He is the fastest pacer from the New Zealand side and he could create plenty of problems for the Indian batters on that Ahmedabad surface. He also has a very good slower ball which can deceive the batter.
3.Hardik Pandya
Hardik was the captain of Gujarat Titans for a couple of years in the IPL and has played plenty of games on this surface. He mostly bowls the back of a length delivery and with big square boundaries it will be tough to take him on. Hardik will also bowl with the new ball and can swing it upfront so he can be very deadly on this Ahmedabad surface.
