Delhi Capitals revealed that their star player David Miller played their last match with a cut inside his gum. In a recent video shared by the franchise on their social media, Miller could be seen showing the cut to his teammates. He revealed that he got the cut during a warm-up game and played an entire game with it. The uploaded video depicts Miller’s immense grit and dedication to his game and team. Miller has not yet been destructive with his willow, although in last game against the Mumbai Indians, he scored just 21 off 18 balls but remained not out.

The franchise captioned the video, “That’s David Miller for you!” Notably, the Capitals acquired Miller in the IPL auction 2026 at a base price of 2 Crores, which was definitely looked upon as a steal deal for the franchise, considering Miller’s ability as a premium finisher. Delhi Capitals have played 2 games till date, one being a home match against Mumbai Indians in their home ground and are currently at fourth spot in the table.

Delhi Capitals set to extend their home dominance against the Gujarat Titans

Delhi Capitals had an amazing start to their campaign, winning two games against Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians, and they will be playing their third game against the Gujarat Titans on Wednesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium. On the other hand, GT has lost both games and is situated at the penultimate spot in the table.

Delhi Capitals have a somewhat balanced squad. Mukesh Kumar, Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan have been impactful across both matches. The spin department looks as strong as any in the competition, with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. Standout has been uncapped Sameer Rizvi, who has shown his batting prowess in both the tricky chases. KL Rahul is yet to show his brilliance. Miller, too, has not had much chance as of now to show his worth in the first match against LSG, and in the Mumbai Indians game, he just scored 21 runs.

Although GT is ahead of DC in the Head to Head Record, winning 4 matches out of 7 matches they have faced each other. Both teams are expected to exceed the 170-run mark, as the Arun Jaitley Stadium has evolved into a batting paradise where short boundaries and a flat surface have consistently produced high-scoring totals over the last two seasons.

Delhi Capitals predicted lineup against the Gujarat Titans :

Pathum Nissanka, KL Rahul (WK), Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, David Miller, Axar Patel (C), Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Vipraj Nigam, Lungi Ngidi.

Impact Player: Natarajan
