Delhi Capitals are one of the few that are still eyeing for their first ever IPL title. As the new season is set to begin later this week, Delhi will be keen to have a good season this time around. They started the 2025 edition winning a lot of the first seven games and were at the top of the table at the halfway stage, but the second half did not go as planned and they kept losing games and failed to qualify for the playoffs. This year they have fixed a few things and one of those is their middle order batting.

Just ahead of the upcoming season, Delhi Capitals brought David Miller into the side adding more stability and plenty of experience to the middle order batting. In the previous edition there was too much chopping and changing but ahead of this season they are clear with their plans. It has already been revealed that KL Rahul is set to open the batting and hence there will be another spot in the middle order.

Delhi Capitals Middle Order IPL 2026

David Miller - Tristan Stubbs

Delhi Capitals have brought in David Miller and along with Tristan Stubbs they form a formidable middle order pair. Having played plenty of games for South Africa they will bring in plenty of reliability to the middle order. This is a terrific combination that can work really well for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season. Another feature of these two players are that they can anchor the innings as well as play the aggressive knocks.

Axar Patel - Ashutosh Sharma - Karun Nair

Karun Nair was in excellent form last season for Delhi Capitals and he is a very good player of spin. Karun along with Axar Patel and Ashutosh Sharma give Delhi enough batting depth along with plenty of solid middle order batters. Ashutosh is likely to slot into lower middle order role while Karun Nair could bat at three while Axar Patel can float in the batting order based on the situation. Delhi Capitals also have plenty of other good options on the bench and this is an area of strength for the team.
