In reply, Netherlands started off the innings well, but they lost the momentum in the middle overs, eventually losing the game. With this win, the Indian team remained unbeaten in the league stages.
Interestingly, to witness India vs Netherlands, the largest cricket stadium in the World saw the spectator count over 70,000. No one would have imagined that with India already qualifying for the Super 8 and the game against Netherlands, which is an associate nation will witness such a big crowd. The 70,000+ spectators is a clear sign of how passionate Indian fans are for the game of cricket.
The Indian team will play their next game at the same venue and it is expected that the stadium will witness similar or even more gathering as it's India's first Super 8 game - that too against the runners up of 2024 T20 World Cup - South Africa.
