The Chennai Super Kings have not had the best of starts in the powerplay as they have lost 4 wickets in the powerplay itself. Sanju Samson was dismissed off the very first ball of the innings and he looked to fetch the ball far outside the off stump, but ended up nicking it to Jos Buttler. There was a glimmer of hope when Matt Short got some cracking boundaries but that too has ended, credit to Kagiso Rabada. CSK’s batting unit falling like a deck of cards after the dismissal of Sanju Samson is not a rare sight at all this season.
The lethal opening pair of Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj has once again delivered and it is becoming more of a routine at the moment. Siraj has been hitting the lengths with exceptional precision and he got the big wicket of Sanju Samson in the first ball of the innings. Kagiso Rabada has been a tad bit expensive but the wicket of a good-looking Matt Short is worth its weight in gold. They will be looking to wrap up the innings as quickly as possible to gain an edge over SRH in terms of the NRR.
Fans slam CSK’s fragile batting unit while Siraj and Rabada ripped through their top order
The CSK fans have expressed their disappointment on X as their batting unit lives to collapse another day after the wicket of Sanju Samson. Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj have delivered yet again with some brilliant bowling in the opening overs. Here are some of the best reactions on X:

The Chennai Super Kings are currently at 91/5 after the 9 overs and their playoff dreams seem to be coming to an end in IPL 2026.
