The most notable element of the Dunes T20 League is its roster restriction. Under International Cricket Council (ICC) regulations, any new franchise league that heavily features current international players from full-member nations (like India, Australia, or England) requires explicit, rigorous board approvals. Teams are strictly limited to a maximum of four overseas players who have played full-member international cricket within the last two years. The inaugural edition is officially scheduled to start during the second week of October 2026. The mid-October window is highly strategic. It slides directly into the global calendar right after England's domestic season concludes and right before Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) kicks off. All matches will be played in the mountain city of Taif, located near Jeddah. The primary venue is the 4,000-capacity Taif Cricket Ground. Yuvraj Singh has officially signed on as the global League Ambassador for Saudi Arabia's upcoming Dunes T20 League. His appointment is a multi-layered business and promotional strategy designed to give the tournament instant credibility. Yuvraj's onboarding was structurally facilitated through the Prolithic Talent Agency. Prolithic is one of the three primary agencies operating the league alongside South Asian Network (SAN) Ltd and the Unique Sports Group. Because Yuvraj serves as a direct corporate mentor and stakeholder for Prolithic, his role bridges the gap between active talent management and executive-level league promotion.
