Finn Allen hammers 100*(47) with 10 sixes to his name as KKR completed the chase in 14.2 overs, completely demolishing Delhi Capitals in Arun Jaitely Stadium on May 8th.

Finn is the first New Zealand batter to score three T20 hundreds in a calendar year- 101(53) for Perth Scorchers in BBL, 100* (33) for NZ in T20 World Cup and 100*(47) for KKR vs DC in IPL 2026. Finn Allen has also become the KKR player with the fastest 100 by balls in the history of IPL.

Finn Allen was benched by KKR after the first few games as Tim Seifert took his spot, but once Seifert too failed, Finn made a comeback to the team as an impact sub, and with this blistering innings in a 143 run chase, Finn Allen gets back his momentum.

After winning the Player of the Match, Finn Allen says,” I feel like I have got a few starts and it’s been frustrating, but it's nice to, I guess, have a little bit of personal success”

KKR’s 8-wicket win against DC keeps their hope alive in IPL 2026

KKR won the toss against DC, putting them to bat first. Kolkata Knight Riders locked horns with Lucknow Super Giants in Match 51 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. KKR won the toss and opted to bowl first on the Delhi pitch. DC couldn’t stand a chance against KKR’s bowling in the first innings, falling like cards back to back. Only Pathum Nissanka played an innings of 50 in 29 balls to take DC to a respectable total of 142 on the board. Kartik Tyagi and Anukul Roy have been excellent with their spells and have two wickets each.

Coming down to bat, KKR lost early wickets in the power play as Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi went out in unlucky ways. Things got a bit pressurised and could have turned into a tricky chase, but the two foreigners - Finn Allen and Cameron Green made the chase look easy, like a cakewalk chasing the 143 runs in 14.2 overs.

With this win, KKR now has four consecutive wins after a dry start to IPL, climbing to the 7th spot in the points table with 9 points.

To qualify for the Top 4 from here, KKR needs to win all the remaining matches- their next game is against the defending champions RCB.
