In a recent team meeting video shared by the BCCI’s social media handle, head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen delivering a passionate talk to the team. The video was set in Colombo, where team India will be playing their two test matches along with a match at Galle. The video started with the head coach congratulating players, Saransh Jain and Auqib Nabi for making it to the Indian Test team. Gambhir told his players to stay mentally strong throughout the course of the match and build an image of an invincible unit where everyone takes their responsibility seriously.
Rather than try to control factors outside their power, like the toss, Gambhir told his players to be completely unbothered by the circumstances. He made it clear to them that they should be prepared for anything that might happen and said, "Come 15th morning, whether we are batting first, whether we are bowling first, we're absolutely ready with every answer, every question that's thrown at us & every answer we are ready to give," said Gambhir before ending his speech with words like, "So make sure we tick all the boxes from now onwards."
India face must-win Sri Lanka Tests in race for WTC final
The upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka is a crucial tie for the transition period of the Indian team.
